Avant garden cubed unit

Hi everyone

How's your weekend been? Hope you have all had a nice time. I was working yesterday but today has been the day to craft and relax.
This project started out as I wanted to make a nice box to hold a little candle...then it turned into this lovely little unit type box.
I'm really proud of this project and can't believe it came from my head haha.
I've used a FREE stamp set called Avant Garden for the decoration...I love this set. This stamp set could be yours for FREE also when you spend £45 at Stampin Up!! Up until 31st March for every £45 you spend you can choose an item completely free from the sale a bration catalogue. If you have not yet got a catalogue please contact me and I'll happily send out all of the current catalogues free of charge.
Anyway back to the project, here's what I've used :

Avant Garden stamp set
Flirty flamingo ink pad
Very vanilla satin ribbon
Strong double sided tape
Tombow glue
1/8 handheld hole punch

For the outside box you will need:
Flirty flamingo card measuring 11 3/8" × 11 3/8" score on one side at 1", 3 3/8", 8" & 10 3/8". Turn card 90° and score exactly the same. Fold and burnish well and then cut as shown below

Put it together as you would a reinforced box.

For the inner section you will need
Flirty flamingo card x 2 measuring 4 5"8" × 4 5/8" score in half at 2 3/8" fold and burnish well. Then on one folded piece line up at 2 3/8" in your trimmer and cut down to the 4cm Mark. On the second piece turn it so your folded edge is at the bottom and repeat the steps.
Glue the flaps down and slot together like picture below, then place it inside the reinforced box we made.

For the inner boxes
Very vanilla cardstock measuring 9 1/2" × 71 /4" score on the long side at 2 1/4", 4 1/2", 6 3/4" & 9". Score on the short side at 2 1/4", 4 1/2" & 6 3/4" fold and burnish well. Cut away all parts as shown below...also now is a good time to stamp your decoration on.

On the stamped section use the handheld punch to make a hole for the ribbon pull and secure with double sided tape. I also cut some flirty flamingo card x 8 to 2 1/8" × 2 1/8". I attached one to the inside of the door and also one on the bottom inside of each box.

Lastly I glued all the boxes into the box we made first and then tied ribbon around the outside and tied in a bow.

If you have any question please feel free to ask.

Matchbox style giftbox

Hi everyone

I hope you have all had a good day. I've been for a visit to the dentist....which is my very least thing to do.
I decided what was needed was a crafty project haha.

I've been wanting to do a matchbox style box now for a while. I was in Wilko today and in the sale I picked up a bunch of novelty erasers and other stationary goodies....best thing was I only spent £4! Wow.
I thought this would be ideal to put in kid's party bags as cute little gifts.

Here is how I made this:

Pacific point card for the box measuring 6" × 5"
Score on all 4 sides at 3/4" & 1 1/2" fold and burnish and cut as shown below, I used the 1/8" handheld punch to make a hole for the ribbon.

Attach ribbon ( I used melon mambo stitched ribbon) through the hole before constructing the box.
Melon mambo card measuring 5 1/4" × 2 5/8"
Score on long side at 1 3/8", 1 7/8", 3 3/4" & 4 3/8"
Fold and burnish and fold around the box and adhere together.
DSP panels to decorate one measuring 2 1/2" × 1 3/4" and two measuring 2 1/2" × 1/2"
Blossom bunch punch for flower
Pacific point enamel dot

I hope you all like this dinky little project, I had fun putting it together.

Don't forget to use the January hostess code if you order through my online store.

Festive birthday note card set

Hi everyone

I hope you have all had a lovely weekend. Last night I was at a party for my auntie's birthday...it was good fun.

Anyway today I want to share with you this project I've done, I got inspiration from a little note card set I picked up from the Disney shop, so here is my take on it.

I'm quite chuffed with how it turned out. It's a good size to keep in your bag for any last minute cards we all need. The cards themselves are also a good size for giving gift cards too.

Here are the products I've used:

Balloon Adventures stamp set
Festive birthday DSP
stitched shapes framelits
Envelope punch board
Tombow
Velcro dot
Paper snips
Whisper white card measuring 4" × 12" x score on long side at 2 7/8", 3 5/8", 6 1/2", 7 7/8" and 10 3/4"
Whisper white card measuring 4" × 2 1/2" score on ling side at 1 1/4" add this to the smaller flap to make the closure
Whisper white card x 12 pieces measuring 5" × 3 1/2" score at 2 1/2" on long side this makes the card blanks.
Scraps of whisper white for sentiments on cards
Melon mambo, tempting turquoise and emerald envy ink pads

To make the boxes for the cards to sit in I have used the same measurements for each of the colours used:
Card measuring 5 1/2" × 3 1/2" score on the short side at 3/8" and 3/4". Score on long side at 3/8", 3/4", 4 3/4" and 5 1/8"
Once you have burnished all score lines you will have 4 little boxes in each bottom corner, cut these away as pic below.

Then fold up and attAch to panels of the big whisper white part we did.

If you have any questions about this project, please feel free to contact me.

Happy crafting

Dinky post it pad wraps

Hi everyone

I hope you have all had a good day. I've just got in from work.

This is a super quick project I want to share with you all. I bought a mini post it note pad with different colours, I split the pad into individual colours and made all 5 from it. I thought they'd be great to use for thank you gifts or just for handy little pads to keep in your bag.

These don't take a lot of supplies and you can make a batch in no time.

This show I've done it:

DSP measuring 5" × 2 1/2" score on the long side at 1", 1 1/4"  3 1/4" and 3 1/2"
Round the corners on the small flap
Adhere the post it note pad to the DSP cover
Add ribbon of your choice to act as a belly band to keep it closed.

This I think is a good way to use up some of the scraps we all have lying around.
I hope you like this little project.

Pop of pink handmade note books

Hi everyone

I'd like to share with you these little handmade note books. I drew inspiration from a YouTube video by another company. I  changed some things up a bit and put my own spin on them. I hope you like how they turned out.

Here are the items I used

Pop of pink speciality DSP measuring 7 3/8" × 4 1/4" score on the long side at 2 7/8" & 6". On the 1 3/8" end flap...round corners with punch
5 sheets of copier paper- cut 10 pieces at 6" × 4" and fold in half...burnish well with bone folder. Then while all folded in half together take a craft knife and metal ruler and trim to beaten. ( I took of around a cm)
1/8" hole punch to make holes in paper and DSP cover
Then I used melon mambo stitched ribbon or the 1/8" gold ribbon to thread through the paper and cover and tie in a double knot to secure.
Velcro dots for the closure
I used strips of the DSP to decorate the front flap

If you would like to purchase any of the items I've used today you can click on my online shop.
If your order is under £150 please enter the current hostess code ( found at the top right corner of my blog) to be entered into my rewards club.

Watercolour Wishes card kit- I used one of the card blanks, wooden hearts, sentiment stamp and envelope
Beautiful you stamp set
Silver embossing powder
Versamark
Dazzling details- silver sparkle
Ribbon and rhinestone are both from some of my retired products although you could substitute for items from your own stash.

I hope you like what you see
